Ellen Page, Cillian Murphy to star in 'Peacock'

Washington, Feb 15 : Ellen Page and Cillian Murphy are all set to star in Mandate Pictures' psychological thriller "Peacock," about a man with split personalities and the woman who holds a key to his past.

'Peacock' is set in the small town of Peacock, Neb., where Murphy's character with a split personality fools the town into believing that his two alter egos are man and wife.

Page will play a struggling young mother who sparks a battle between the personalities.

Barry Mendel is producing the film, which marks the directorial debut of Michael Lander, who co-wrote the script with co-producer Ryan Roy.

"'Peacock' stunned me as a script from start to finish. It offers an incredible challenge to an actor -- one I couldn't turn down," Variety quoted Murphy, as saying.
