Cadila introduces Nudoxa for cancer treatment

New Delhi, Feb 15 (UNI) Cadila Healthcare Ltd today introduced 'Nudoxa', an NDDS product used in cancer therapy.

One of the critical drugs used in chemotherapy, Nudoxa promises to be a stable and long lasting drug with reduced toxicity and lesser side effects, a company statement said.

A patented product in India and South Africa, Nudoxa is manufactured by Zydus-BSV Pharma Pvt Ltd, the joint venture company of Zydus Cadila and Bharat Serums and Vaccines Pvt Ltd, and marketed by Zydus Biogen.

The drug is a new variant of liposomal doxorubiein and prevents from major side effects of the cancer therapy like 'Hand-Foot Syndrome', characterised by skin eruptions on the palms of hands or soles of feet.

The medicine is being used as a chemotherapy drug to treat various cancers, particularly breast cancer, ovarian cancer and HIV infections.
