Agreement signed with Cuban National Institute
Patiala, Feb 15 (UNI) The Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has signed an agreement with the Cuban National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation for mutual development of sports and physical education.
The agreement also aims to share expertise in sports management, sports medicine and anti-doping, besides upgradation of coaches and scientists between India and Cuba.
The Executive Director of the NIS, Laxman Singh Ranawat, told UNI that he had detailed discussion in this context with the 4-member Cuban delegation, comprising, Jose Rovera Rodriguez, Erie Rayer Lopez, Lazers Fernandez Castellanos and Melix Aviles, which was at the NIS from February 8 to 14, to augment the development of sports and physical education in India.
