The Indian wine industry is booming

New Delhi, Feb 14, 2008 : The wine industry in India is projected to grow at more than 25 per cent annually in the next decade, making it the fastest growing industry in the country.

The quantum jump from two million litres of wine from four wineries in Maharashtra in 2001 to 13 million liters in 2007 from 51 wineries says it all. And it has set the trend for a phenomenal growth of the infant industry.
