Artist promotes Orissa's Pattachitra art on nails

Puri, Feb 14, 2008 : Niranjan Mohapatra in India"s northern city of Puri is exhibiting nail art not for any commercial purpose but to promote the traditional Pattachitra art of Orissa.

The 20-year-old artist, with nails longer than that of girls, has a penchant for long talons since childhood. Off late, to give his nails a better look, he started painting the images of deities, which looked not only fastidious but intricate as well.
