ThoughWorks commences operations

Chennai, Feb 14 (UNI) ThoughWorks, a leading global information technology professional services firm, today announced the commencement of its operations here.

Talking to newspersons today, company MD Dharmarajan Sitaraman said ''we see India as a key strategic asset and also as a gateway to a part of the world that is registering rapid growth. ThoughWorks has been in India for six years and we have been rapidly gaining mindshare and influene within the Indian IT community.'' He said the company would employ over 75 persons in the next eight months at the new development facility, taking the total employee strength across the three facilities to more than 350 by the end of the year.

Mr Sitaram said the company was investing about US Dollar six lakh in the Chennai facility.
