Shahabuddin granted bail in mobile phone recovery case

Siwan, Feb 14 (UNI) The Special court today granted bail to incarcerated RJD MP Mohammed Shahabuddin in connection with recovery of mobile phones from his possession during a raid at the Siwan jail permises last year.

Special Judicial Magistrate V B Gupta granted bail to the RJD MP after hearing the arguments of his counsel.

The bail petition was filed by RJD MP on February 4.

It is to be noted that Mohammed Shahabuddin was lodged in Siwan jail in connection with several criminal cases pending against him. He was also given a life term for kidnapping and subsquent killing of a CPI (ML) leader.
