Rupee opens firm at 39.68/69 per USD

Mumbai, Feb 14: The Rupee today opened on a firm note against US Dollar at 39.68/69 from its previous close 39.76/77 per dollar on strong inflows in the Indian equity market in the early trade.

The local unit gained over eight paise against greenback, following the positive trend in asian markets. Rupee was trading in a wide range band between 39.64 and 39.77 per dollar amid fairly active interbank foreign exchange (Forex) market in the mid-morning trade, dealers said.
