Opposition working against SP: Mulayam

Lucknow, Feb 14 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today charged all the opposition parties with working against his party.

Addressing a seminar of office-bearers of SP's Students Wing, Mr Yadav announced to hold vociferous demonstrations at district headquarters on February 21, aganist the Value Added Tax (VAT) regime and students union elections suspension in universities and colleges of UP.

''The future coarse of action to continue fight against various issues pertaining to common man will be decided shortly,'' he said here this evening.

Mr Yadav said although, he was wearied of his continuous struggle on various issues, he was not yet disheartened.

Hinting at the possibilities of fighting a ''gorilla battle'' against the Mayawati government, the former defence minister said ''The SP was experienced enough to carry out such battle.'' He asked the student's unions to continue their fight, against injustice and misrule, and exhorted them against losing hearts at such an early stage.
