Nitish flays Centre for hike in diesel and petrol prices
Patna, Feb 14 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today flayed the Centre for hiking the petrol and diesel prices from midnight tonight and said it would result in the increase of the prices of essentials.
Speaking to newspersons here, Mr Kumar said the sudden increase in diesel price was bound to escalate the transport cost of essentials, thereby affecting the commonman.
'' The reason cited by the Centre that hike of petroleum prices in international market is causing huge losses to oil companies is not sustainable as these companies are earning considerable profit, '' Mr Kumar said adding the Congress would have to face its consequences in the next Lok Sabha elections.
