Musharraf warns political parties not to agitate after polls

Islamabad, Feb 14 : Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has warned political parties in the country not to agitate after the results of the February 18 elections are announced.

"They should not be under any illusion that they will bring people to the streets after the election," Musharraf said at a special conference of government officials in Islamabad.

"In this situation of extremism and terrorism, no agitation, anarchy or chaos can be acceptable." "Don't show arrogance, if you win, and show grace, if you lose, accept the results," Musharraf said, rejecting the opposition's allegations.

At least 24 people have been killed and more than 30 wounded in bomb attacks on political workers in the last week alone.
