Mortal remains of Rajendra Nath consigned to flames
Mumbai, Feb 14 (UNI) The mortal remains of popular comedian Rajendra Nath, who regaled cinegoers with his rib-tickling portrayal of 'Popatlal' in 'Jab Pyar Kissi Se Hota hai', were consigned to flames at the Santacruz crematorium here today.
The 76-year-old Bollywood actor passed away yesterday at his Khar residence. He was suffering from breathing problems.
Just a few of the film industry stalwarts, including Randhir Kapoor and Mohan Kumar, were present at the funeral.
Rajendra Nath belonged to the genre of superb comedians like Dhumal, Om Prakash and Johnny Walker.
He started his film career in 1938 and has been part of several hit films including 'An Evening in Paris', 'Dil Deke Dekho' and 'Bandhan'.
