Met office forecasts further drop in temperature
Kolkata, Feb 14 (UNI) The weather gods today provided the perfect atmosphere for the citizens to celebrate Valentine's Day as the mercury dipped considerably below the normal level, prompting the people to venture outdoors to enjoy the cool breeze and clear blue skies.
The minimum temperature for the day was recorded at 12.8 degrees Celsius while the maximum was 25.7 degrees Celsius, both three degrees below normal, which was unusually low for this time of the year, Met officials said.
The maximum relative humidity was pegged at 85 per cent.
Moreover, the Met sources predicted further dip in the mercury and the minimum temperature to hover around 12 degrees Celsius during the next 24 hours.
