Lt Guv chairs plan discussion meeting

Puducherry, Feb 14: Puducherry Lt Governor Mukut Mithi today chaired a plan discussion meeting in his office.

Chief Minister N Rangasamy, his cabinet colleagues, Chief Secretary, DGP, secretaries, and head of the departments participated in the meeting as a follow-up of the plan review meeting held earlier.

It discussed in detail and evolved schemes to be presented to the Planning Commission during the meeting Chief Minister N Rangasamy will have on February 18 to finalise the plan allocation for Puducherry for 2008-09.

Last year, the Planning Commission had sanctioned Rs 1,455 crore for Puducherry and it was reportedly decided to seek Rs 2,000 crore this year.
