Lovers experience police interference

Puducherry, Feb 14: Lovers in Puducherry found it difficult to spend time together on Valentine's Day as the police locked the Botanical gardens and the Bharathi park, the places where lovers meet.

Police cited arrangements for the flower show as the reason for the closure. As the government employees staged an agitation, lovers were reportedly chased away at the beach here.

Meanwhile, the Puducherry Hindu Munnani held a demonstration near the Kamaraj statue to protest against the Valentine's Day celebrations here.
