KSFC officier arrested for accepting bribe

Bangalore, Feb 14 (UNI) Lokayukta police today arrested Karnataka State Finance Corporation (KSFC), Bagalkot, Recovery Officer for accepting bribe for showing official favour.

According to a release here, Hooli Basaiah was caught red handed while accepting Rs 4,500 as bribe from one Mr Jayakirti Kallappa Hugar of Jamakhandi taluk for issuing Loan Clearance Certificate.

In another arrest a Pharmacist of Gudipalli Primary Sub-unit of Mulbagal Taluk Mahadevaiah Shetty, was arrested while accepting a bribe of Rs 200 from one Mr K Narayanaswamy for issuing old age widow certificate to his mother and relatives.
