HP Assembly Budget session from March 4

Shimla, Feb 14 (UNI) The Budget session of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly will begin here on March 4 with Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal presenting the Budget on March 7 A notification to this effect was issued by state Governor V S Kokje here today.

The session would end on April 11 with a nine-day recess from March 15 to 23 during which standing committees of the department would scrutnise the demand for grants.

In all, there would be 23 sittings during the session.

Three days have been earmarked for Private Members Business.

Apart from passing supplementary Budget for 2007-08, the House would also deliberate on important legislative business during the session.
