Hideout busted arms and ammunition recovered two arrested in Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 14 (UNI) Two was busted miitants were arrsted and hideout cache of arms and ammunition recovered in the Kashmir valley overnight, a defence ministry spokesman said today.

He said troops of 62 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police launched a joint operation at Khajapur in Shopian district of south Kashmir. During the operation a four feet by three feet hideout was unearthed.

The arms and ammunition recovered included UBGL-27, ICOM Radios Set-02, Antenna ICOM set-07, Electric timed device detonator-15, IED frame-02, detonators-16 and other war like stores. However, no one was arrested.

He said in another search operation by 7 RR at Uttarsu in Anantnag district troops arrested two militants who were later handed over to police for further questioning.
