Garden Tourism Fest begins tomorrow
New Delhi, Feb 14 (UNI) As Delhi readies to welcome spring, the Delhi Tourism is holding the 21st Garden Tourism Festival from tomorrow in 'The Garden of Five Senses' at Said-ul-Ajaib in the capital.
The festival, being held with an objective to create awareness for environment conservation and promotion of floriculture, will be inaugurated by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.
The highlight of the three-day festival this year will be the theme 'Indian Ethnic Garden' and will present a large variety of plants in different categories, including potted plants, foliage, medicinal and herbal plants.
Also, many other activities such as on the spot printing competition, magic shows, cultural programmes etc. will also be organised daily.
Flowers, fresh plants, garden accessories, equipment, etc will be on sale at the venue.
Delhi Government and Union Tourism Ministry are co-organisers of the event.
In the last 20 years, Garden Tourism Festival has become the largest flower show in the city and more than 40,000 people visit this festival in three days.
