EC yet to serve notice on Sonia Gandhi
New Delhi, Feb 14 (UNI) The Election Commission (EC) is yet to issue a show cause notice to Congress President Sonia Gandhi on the complaint filed against her for accepting a Belgian award.
According to EC sources, the Commission failed to do so in the wake of divided opinion on this issue.
There were several rounds of meeting within the Commission and the last one in this regard was held here on Wednesday last, the sources said.
The issue would be taken up once again when the entire Commission meets as it could be decided only by a full Commission. But when the matter could be taken up is not known, the sources added.
