Dispute during Scindia Hockey Tourney
Gwalior, Feb 14 (UNI) A player each of the Corps of Signals, Jalandhar, and West Central Railway, Jabalpur, were injured after some players used hockey sticks during a dispute today in a match of the 72nd All-India Scindia Gold Cup Hockey Tournament underway at the Railway Hockey Stadium here.
''When the score was 4-3 in the Corps' favour, a dispute erupted between Jabalpur's Taj Khan and Jalandhar's Jasbant,'' said Joint Secretary (Organisation) Satyapal Singh Singh Chouhan.
Khan sustained a head injury and Jasbant hurt his leg. Tournament Director Hanuman Prasad Tiwari and Joint Director Avinash Sharma imposed a single-match ban on Jasbant and Khan.
