Cong, NCP pat Mah Govt for action against MNS chief
Mumbai, Feb 14 (UNI) Congress and NCP today lauded the state government for taking 'prompt' action against Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray and Samajwadi Party (SP) state president Abu Asim Azmi.
Talking to reporters here, Congress spokesman Hussain Dalvai complimented the government and deputy chief minister R R Patil for arresting both the leaders, whose statements instigated tension for 12 days in the city.
NCP spokesman Madan Bafna, however, blamed the electronic media for blowing up the issue.
Asked whether the incident made Raj Thackeray a 'hero', Mr Dalvai remarked that whoever had quit Shiv Sena have become ''hero''.
