BCC seeks media's cooperation in industrial growth of Bihar
Patna, Feb 14 (UNI) The Bihar Chamber of Commerce(BCC) today urged the media to play an important role in attracting major industries in the state.
Inaugrating an interactive session with leading national Hindi daily 'Dainik Jagaran' Chairman Yogender Mohan Gupta here tonight, BCC president O P Shah felt that there was an urgent need to create mass awareness about the state's changing scenario to woo private investors besides assuring them of their safety and security, the main stumbling block for outside investors to invest here.
Highlighting the need for a change in the public mindset towards Biharis, specially in the wake of recent violence against the Hindi speaking north Indians in Maharashtra, Mr Shah said the media could play a positive role in educating the masses to prevent recurrence of such incidents.
Mr Gupta, speaking on the occasion, said Bihar had already come back on the path of progress and that was acknowledged by all major corporate houses like the Reliance Industries and the Bharti Airtel group. They had even evinced enough interest to invest in Bihar.
