Bagalkote receives 6 cm rainfall

Bangalore, Feb 14 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.

Rainfall occurred at a few places over Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Bagalkote 6; Biligi, Ilkal, Bargur 4 each; Nalwatwad, Holenarsipura, Sira, Hassan 3 each; Hungund, Raichur, Napoklu, Hallimysore, Parasurampura, Tiptur, Y.N.Hoskote 2 each; Hanumasagar, Badami, Kerur, Almatti, Deodurg, Madikeri, Jayapura, Kammardi, Tarikere, Sargur, Challakere 1 each.

Minimum temperatures rose at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at many places being appreciably so at a few places over Interior Karnataka and above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka.

Chamarajnagara recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 17.6 degree Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Saturday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over Interior Karnataka and mainly dry weather will prevail over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at isolated places over all districts of North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and mainly dry weather will prevail over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka.

Local forecast for Bangalore city: Generally cloudy. Light rain likely in some areas. Minimum temperature likely to be around 20 degree Celsius.
