Vasant Gite arrested in Nashik
Nashik, Feb 13 (UNI) Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) general secretary Vasant Gite was arrested here this morning by the Bhadrakali police.
Five other MNS activists have been arrested in connection with pelting stones on a bus in Manmad.
As many as 100 people have been arrested so far from rural parts of the district, excluding the ones arrested in Manmad, and nearly 13 buses were damaged yesterday.
Tension in the area has built up again following the latest developments here and in Mumbai.
According to latest reports, buses have also been damaged in Deolali Camp area and Manmad.
Though the routine life is on, an undeclared ''bandh'' like situation prevails in the city.
