Telephone facility for MP prisoners

Ratlam, MP, Feb 13 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh jails would provide telephone facility to its inmates so that they could interact with their family members.

''The proposal is under consideration,'' said Director General (Jail) Hemant Kumar Sareen after inspecting a jail here yesterday, adding communication with family members was necessary to boost the morale of the inmates and keep them under discipline.

Under this experiment, prisoners could talk to their kith and kin from the telephone having incoming facility only. Their calls would be recorded as well he added.
