'Surya Jayanthi' at Lord Venkateswara temple

Tirumala, Feb 13 (UNI) Thousands of devotees thronged the Lord Venkateswara temple to witness the 'Surya Jayanthi', also known as 'Rathasapthami', festival here today.

As part of the festival, deity Lord Malayappaswamy Varu was taken in a procession.

In view of the 'Rathasapthami', the TTD had cancelled all 'Arjitha Sevas' at the temple.

As a precautionary measure, police made elaborate security arrangements at the temple.
