Sugar prices ease further
Navi Mumbai, Feb 13 (UNI) Prices of sugar ex-mill small and medium grade sugar slashed further today on lack of demand in the wholesale sugar market, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association said.
Sugar prices in small grade fell by Rs two per quintal on poor buying support while medium grade rose by Rs 15 per quintal due to better buying support.
Ex-mill small and medium grade edged down by Rs 15 and Rs 5 per quintal on sustained heavy selling pressure, traders added.
Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,388/1,425, Medium grade: Rs 1,435/1,525.
Ex-mill Small grade: Rs 1,355/1,390 and Medium grade: Rs 1,415/1,480.
