PCG holds agitation to demand member's release
Guwahati, Feb 13 (UNI) The Peoples Consultative Group (PCG) held a demonstration here today to protest the arrest of one of their members by the Assam police for having suspected links with the proscribed United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA).
The demonstration was led by PCG members Dilip Patgiri and Ajit Bhuyan to demand unconditional release of Lachit Bardoloi.
Bardoloi was remanded to police custody for five days by a local court here yesterday.
Meanwhile, police said they had recovered enough incriminating documents from Bardoloi to prove his links with the ULFA.
