Over 100 jhuggis gutted in Delhi fire
New Delhi, Feb 13 (UNI) More than 100 jhuggis were gutted in a major fire at a slum cluster in the national capital this evening.
However, no casualty has been reported in the blaze so far.
Fire Services officials said the fire broke out in the slum area between Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) and Shastri Park at 1926 hrs.
They said as many as 22 fire tenders have been pressed into service to douse the blaze.
The officials said about 75 jhuggis were destroyed in the fire. However, sources put the figure at more than 100.
The cause of the fire was being ascertained, the officials added.
