MP Cong leader meets Sonia

Bhopal, Feb 13 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Jamuna Devi today met Congress President Sonia Gandhi at Delhi and apprised her of the state's political situation.

''Ms Devi spoke of carelessness and corruption in implementation of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and other centrally-aided schemes in Madhya Pradesh,'' said a release from Ms Devi's local office.

Ms Devi alleged that an employment-linked exodus was taking place in drought-affected areas and suggested that the Congress launch a campaign to make tribals aware of the Forest Rights Act.
