JISL inks MoU with Israel's Mekorot for water projects

New Delhi, Feb 13 (UNI) Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd (JISL) today said it has entered into an agreement with Israel-based Mekorot for working together in water infrastructure development projects in the country.

''Mekorot, the national water company of Israel has signed an MOU with us for cooperating and working together in India in projects related to water infrastructure,'' a company statement said.

Initially, the companies will establish a framework for joint cooperation and collaboration to explore potential projects in the field of desalination plants, water resource management, water supply systems, municipal water management and/or wastewater treatment and reclamation projects in the country, it added.

Mekorot will contribute and provide design capabilities and technologies along with resources for implementation, management, operation and maintenance of such projects.

JISL will contribute and provide the customer relationships, business development, management resources, procurement of equipment and execution of facility/plant, the statement said.
