Honour for CMFRI Scientist
Kochi, Feb 13 (UNI) Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI) Director N G K Pillai won the prestigious 'Eminent Zoologist Gold Medal' instituted by the Zoological Society of India, according to an official release here today.
Dr Pillai, who had been working in the CMFRI as a scientist for the last 30 years, had made 'tremendous contribution' to marine fisheries in general and pelagic fisheries in particular.
He had written three books and published more than 150 scientific papers in national and international papers.
