History-sheeter shot dead
Jaunpur, Feb 13 (UNI) Unidentified assailants killed a history-sheeter in Kerakat Kotwali area here today.
The incident occured, when Sabhajit Singh alias Damodar Pahalwan was on way to Chandwak by his car, Police Superintendent Lalji Shukla said.
He was waylaid by masked motorcycle-borne at Auri railway crossing and fired upon indiscriminately.
Sabhajit died on the spot.
Personal rivalry was ascertained as the reason behind the murder, the SP added.
The deceased had 13 criminal cases pending against him in Jaunpur, Azamgarh and Ghazipur.
A manhunt had been launched.
