Essar Group Mobilestore to expand outlets to 2,500 by 2010

Mumbai, Feb 13 (UNI) Essar Group's chain of cellular and computer peripheral chain-Mobilestore is set to expand its number of countrywide outlets from 500 to 2,500 stores by 2010.

Talking to UNI here today, Mobilestore CEO Rajeev Aggarwal said, ''With the market for computers growing at 20-22 per cent and mobiles market growing at 30 per cent, we don't expect any slowdown and need to increase our outlets. We will sell all kind of products at aggressive prices and customers can expect more in the same price.'' The Mobilestore website is also being revamped and an online shopping facility would be introduced shortly, he added.

Comparing similar products from the grey market from where they face strong competition, Mr Aggarwal said, though prices in grey markets might be marginally cheaper, usually there is no guarantee and after sales services are usually wanted.
