Court remands government official in Bihar
Patna, Feb 13 (UNI) Special Vigilance judge of Patna S K Panwar today remanded Ram Kumar Singh, an accountant of Patna Electricity department, to judicial custody till February 26 in a bribery case.
During the day, the accused was produced before the designated judge by the vigilance official under various charges of Prevention of Corruption Act.
The court sent Mr Singh, an accountant of Gardani Bagh electricity sub-division of Patna, to jail till February 26.
According to the charges, Mr Singh was arrested by the vigilance sleuths while accepting a bribe of Rs 1500 from a person for some departmental work on February 12, 2008.
