Collector should submit report before Feb 27: HRC
Kochi, Feb 13 (UNI) The Kerala Human Rights Commission today directed the Ernakulam district Collector and Rural SP to file reports by February 27 on the forceful eviction of families from Moolampally near here for the Vallarpadam International Container Transshipment Terminal (ICTT) Highway project.
Commission Chairman N Dinkar issued notices to the district Collector and Rural SP after visiting the Moolampally site earlier today.
Twenty four families were forcefully evicted from Moolampally on February seven to meet a Central Government deadline to acquire the required 44 hectares of land for the four-lane National Highway to the Vallarpadam ICTT by February 15.
