Advani expresses concern over terrorist activists in Karnataka
Davanagere, Karnataka, Feb 13 (UNI) Senior BJP leader and Opposition Leader in Lok Sabha L K Advani today expressed concern over Karnataka becoming hub for terrorists activists.
"It is worrying to read that Karnataka is becoming a hub for terrorists organisations like SIMI, which have links with extremists outfit abroad and seemed to have been spreading its tentacles in the State," he added.
Speaking after inaugurating a private Engineering College here, Mr Advani said that NDA government had taken firm measures to end terrorist menace in the country. "NDA government took a firm permanent measures, especially by adopting a non-sense approach to combating terrorism. We did so because we believed that our developmental achievement and also future plan will naught, if we allow that twin dangers of Jehadi terrorism and maoism to carry on their murderous campaign in the India." Mr Advani said that what is more worrying was that some young students and professionals from Karnataka are getting into the terrornet.
He said that "the government of the day, be it in New Delhi or in the state cannot take a soft approach to this menace for short term political consideration." Mr Advani said that India is now becoming in all over the world as a next economic super power in the making. Many foreigners are coming forward to invest in the country.
He said that during NDA government the slogan should have been 'India Rising' and not 'India Shining' About brain drain, Mr Advani said that many foreigners including from the West are coming to India in search of highend and employment opportunity.
"Many of you here will recall that there used to be a lot of debate in the earlier decades about the phenomena called "Brain Drain' and it is good to know that there is now a reversal trend called 'Brain Gain' he said and added that the phenomenon of educated and success abroad returning to the country since India itself is providing exciting opportunity in business and profession.
