Abu Asim Azmi released on bail
Mumbai, Feb 13 (UNI) Samajwadi Party city chief Abu Asim Azmi, who was arrested today by the Mumbai police for making inflammatory speech, was granted bail by a local court.
Mr Azmi, who was arrested from his residence at Colaba in south Mumbai late this afternoon, was produced before the Bhoiwada court.
Magistrate R B Agarwal, while granting the bail, directed Mr Azmi to furnish a personal bond of Rs 10,000.
Mr Azmi was booked under section 153 (A) and 153 (B) of the Indian Penal Code and was taken to the Bhoiwada court under tight security by the Shivaji Park police.
