A Murigappa appointed as Karnataka University Vice Chancellor

Bangalore, Feb 13 (UNI) Dr A Murigappa, Retired Professor of Linguistics, was today appointed as Vice Chancellor of Karnataka University, Dharwad.

According to a notification signed by, Governor Rameshwar Thakur who is also Chancellor of the Universities in the State, the term of Dr Murigappa would be for a period of three years from the date of assumption of office or till he attains the age of 65 years whichever is earlier.

The post had fallen vacant following resignation of Dr B A Viveke Raj who was appointed as Karnataka State Open University, Mysore.
