55-year-old man's body recovered
Jalandhar, Feb 13 (UNI) Police today recovered the body of a 55-year-old man from the fields under Nurmahal Police Station in the district.
Police said that one Ram Singh of village Dhalla was first killed with sharp-edged weapons and than the alleged assailants tried to burn the body. When the accused failed to burn the body completely, they burried it in the land, but fortunately some parts of the legs remained unburried, police added.
The body was first discovered by the villagers, who immidiately informed the police. A case under sections 302 of the IPC was registered against the unkown assailants and efforts were on to nab the accused, police said.
