290 industrialists confirm participation in MP Meet

Jabalpur, Feb 13 (UNI) Representatives of 290 industries in India and abroad have confirmed participation in the two-day Investors' Meet here on February 15.

''The Madhya Pradesh government invited about 700 industrialists.

Participants will include those from Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and Canada. Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla will arrive here by a special plane to attend the inauguration,'' State Health Minister Ajay Vishnoi told reporters today.

Hong Kong-based Globex Biotech's Dr Sanjay Nagarkar would lead a 14-member delegation of investors from there.

''Prominent among those who have confirmed participation are M P Birla Group Director Harsh Lodha, Kolkata's M S P Steel Director Manish Agrawal, M/s M P J Steel and Minerals Director S R Pati, Mumbai's M/s Euro Ceramics Chairman and Managing Director Naisi Shah, Mumbai's M/s Agrawal Indotex Limited CMD Subhash Agrawal and Prism Cement MD Manoj Chhabra,'' said Mr Vishnoi.

The Meet would be inaugurated by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Sectoral presentation sessions that afternoon would witness officials having one-to-one meetings on agro-processing, textile, apparel, health, information technology, mining, minerals, tourism and energy. The valedictory session was expected to witness signing of memoranda of understanding.
