Yes, Marxism is a creative science: Yechury

Kottayam, Feb 12 (UNI) Marxism is not a formula or dogma but a creative science, CPI (M) Politburo member Sitaram Yechuri said here today.

Inaugurating a seminar on the 'Relevance of Marxism' at Thirunakkara Maidan as part of the ongoing party state conference, Mr Yechuri said ''Marxism is not only relevant but also crucial to effect better changes in the world.'' About globalisation he said only Marxism could explain why the phenomenon was taking place. ''Liberalisation is the backbone of globalisation. No country can restrict the flow of capital. It is exerting pressure to privatise public sector institutions, education, health and other sectors to help capitalists make profit.'' ''Economic inequality is widening among the people and nations.

In India, a microscopic 36 individuals hold 25 per cent of the country's assets.'' The political objective of the 'American imperialism' is to reduce the Third World Countries into economic slaves. Struggle against globalisation is impossible without the one against imperialism,'' he said.
