Two arrested for stealing cables worth Rs two lakh

Puducherry, Feb 12 (UNI) Police arrested two youths on charges of stealing cables worth Rs two lakh from the godown of a mobile phone company here today.

Police said Premkumar and Easterraj, local residents, posed themselves as representatives of a Coimbatore-based company, took away 300 meters of cable in a van on January 25.

Based on a complaint from the company, a case had been registered and the accused were nabbed with the help of the van driver.
