Suspect Maoist arrested from Nandigram

Nandigram, Feb 12 (UNI) A suspected Maoist, was arrested this afternoon near Bhangabera Bridge, Sonachura, under Nandigram police station.

East Midnapur District Superintendent of Police S S Panda said Mithu Ghosh (38) the suspected Maoist was taken into custody after local villagers complained about his movement for last few days.

Maoists handbill, leaflets, booklets and a mobile set were found from his possession. Police said he took part in a number of operations in the area during the last few months.
