Security forces airlift stuck passenger in Kashmir
Kashmir, Feb 10, 2008: Indian security forces airlifted stranded passengers in northern Jammu and Kashmir state on February 9th as the heaviest snowfall in recent years brought the Himalayan region to a standstill.
According
to
the
Indian
Army
it
will
airlift
1,500
more
people
on
Saturday
who
have
been
stranded
for
more
than
a
week
on
a
snowbound
mountain
highway
that
connects
the
Kashmir
Valley
with
the
rest
of
India.
