Obama pulls ahead of Clinton, but barely

Washington, Feb.12 : Barack Obama has pulled ahead of Hillary Clinton in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination after winning five out of five weekend primaries.

Obama has a narrow lead of 1,134 delegates to Clinton's 1,131, with wins in Maine, Louisiana and Nebraska.

It is expected that his momentum could continue on Tuesday inn the "Beltway Ballot" of Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia.

Clinton on the other hand has replaced her campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle.

Among the Republicans, John McCain has a strong lead, but Mike Huckabee continues to nip at his heels.
