House mourns death of two sitting MLAs
Hyderabad, Feb 12 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Assembly was adjourned for the day today by Speaker K R Suresh Reddy after mourning the death of Congress legislator P Janardhan Reddy and TDP MLA T Jayaprakash during the inter-session period.
Moving the resolutions, Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy recalled the contributions of the two deceased legislators during five terms. The House also conveyed its sympathy to the bereaved family members of the deceased.
Dr Reddy assured the House that a fitting memorial would be put up for Janardhan Reddy, who had served as a Minister, Congress Legislature Party Leader and Hyderabad City Congress President.
Cutting across party lines, the members, including Leader of Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu, CPI Floor Leader Ch Venkata Reddy, CPI(M) floor leader N Narasimaiah and BJP floor leader G Kishan Reddy, recalled the services rendered by Mr Janardhan Reddy and Mr Jayaprakash for the downtrodden.
