Former minister serving life term granted bail
Patna, Feb 12 (UNI) Patna High Court today granted bail to former Bihar minister Aditya Singh, who had been given life term by a lower court.
A division bench comprising Justice Chandramohan Prasad and Justice Dhirendra Jha awarded the bail after hearing his petition taking his age factor into consideration. His age is 80.
Mr Singh and his two sons--Mukesh and Tarun- were earlier awarded life term by the District and Sessions court of the Nawada on December 11, 2007.
The bench, however, rejected the bail petition of the two sons.
All the accused were booked for killing the Mukhiya of Shankarpur panchayat.
