Dissident leaders attend Modi's meeting with Gujarat MPs
Gandhinagar, Feb 12 (UNI) Chief Minister Narendra Modi today presided over a meeting with Gujarat MPs to discuss the state's pending problems with the Centre.
At least 18 MPs took part in the meeting. Dissident leader and former chief minister Keshubhai Patel and another rebel leader Kashiram Rana, were conspicuous by their presence. Others, who had raised a banner of revolt against Mr Modi during the assembly elections, Somabhai Gandabhai Patel and Dr Vallabh Kathiriya were absent. They were suspended from the BJP for anti-party activities.
Keshubhai and Rana were served show-cause notices just before the announcement of the assembly elections' results.
The Chief Minister briefed the MPs on various problems of the state pending with the Centre. The MPs promised to pursue the matter during the budget session as well as in various forums like parliament consultative committees etc.
